The quiet that Saturdays bring | There is something soothing in the quiet that Saturdays bring, still bloated from Friday night's meal, over gorging yourself with wonderful food, the guilt that is released slowly throughout the day, the workout routine takes a day off, making you feel twice as fat than you are.
Saturdays are time for reflection - running in fast forward the scheme of the week that has gone by too fast and planning for what is next - making sure to plant some joy in the madness, planting some hope in the people you talk to, placing a prayer that things will keep as such for the worst and just improve from here if possible. Trying to shape up the best in you to brave the upcoming week, contain the agony, trash the bad thoughts and stock up on the better messages you transmit to the universe.
You have Sunday to test it out, it is not yet the week, where you can start feeling the departure of the weekend, though still gives you the time to start build up speed for Monday.
There are endless superlatives about the transition from weekend to weekday and back, and as often we forget to realize how lucky we are to have them. The ones whom lack it are either working every day of the week, or not working every day of the week, so life just passes by them, they live one day at a time and wandering like lost bubbles in a giant ocean.
Work could be a day job, or an activity you have on your schedule, where you meet other people when you interact, when you exchange ideas, learn new things, as one does not know it all. Be surprised, have a good laugh, have a deep conversation. Make someone more hopeful than they have been before they just talked to you - it is not work for living, it is the work of life.
