The Other Changing Colors of the Fall| New England Fall foliage colors are a nature spectacle. The experience is almost sacred during sunrise and sunset when the light shines from within the trees making them look like a giant eternal flame.

The peak of the season is marked by other changing colors mainly of google maps with green yellow and red, when you see red - you sure know that you are in the right spot and you are going to be stuck there for awhile and might as well enjoy the view.

2020 brought many more colors that changed from white supremacy to black lives matter and all the colors in between that symbolize gender equality. All were mixed in the grand change of color from red to blue for US presidency sending the current one to the blues and the elected one to shine red from excitement.

The only colorless and color blind is the pandemic where one could just hope to survive it and make it through until there is a vaccine that would bring back sanity and some sense of certainty, closer to us. Without the need to use GPS, to scream for our rights, to fear for our security or to run for our lives.

This lack of certainty converts the true colors to shades of gray of burnt forests and lifeless trees, the gap between what you expect seeing and what you can actually see is getting bigger, making the spectacle fade away like a lost memory or a distant sound.

The voices in our head are just getting weird and create a giant blurb that becomes the new human language that keep people more distant and hostile and less communicating.

We end up losing our own colors, no matter how many times we try to bring them back.

What color have you lost this year?
